Project Team

All projects are assigned a dedicated and knowledgeable project manager who works directly with contractors to coordinate the design, installation and certification of the determined fire protection system. This includes working with the local Authority Having Jurisdiction to provide all necessary project documentation.
Your project manager will ensure deadlines and budgets are met by managing all system integrators and technicians, ordering and scheduling necessary equipment, working with local permits, and more.
The project manager will work with you and local officials for the final testing and certification of the system.

System Design

Once a fire protection solution has been prescribed, our team conducts a thorough application design process, performs all necessary design or flow calculations for the clean agent or water-based system, and reviews all necessary performance-based strategies.
For example, to work effectively, clean agents must remain at a certain concentration long enough to suppress fire, which requires airtight construction and adherence to NFPA 2001 and NFPA 75.
We will help prepare the protected spaces for clean agent fire suppression by ensuring the enclosure is designed and constructed to provide the required one-hour fire-resistance rating and maintain the integrity necessary for the clean agent system to perform as intended. This includes confirming that each room, wall assembly, ceiling, floor, and doorway is properly constructed and sealed, and that the HVAC system includes the appropriate dampers and shutdown interlocks so the clean agent does not escape during a discharge
On the electrical side, we coordinate all necessary connections to the releasing control panel, emergency power-off functions, and dedicated power circuits, and we integrate the system with building life-safety requirements when needed. We also evaluate unique conditions, such as aisle containment, humidification, continuous HVAC and purge systems, to ensure every protected space meets clean agent performance standards.

Installation

Our team takes a comprehensive approach from engineered design through installation and final system commissioning. We engineer each system in accordance with the applicable prescriptive code requirements, approved design documents, manufacturer requirements, and project specifications.
During installation, we ensure that all system components are installed in accordance with the engineered design and applicable codes and standards, with an emphasis on quality workmanship, proper placement, accessibility, and long-term system reliability. We interface the fire alarm, detection, suppression, releasing equipment, and required emergency control function interfaces to ensure the systems operate together as intended.
Upon completion of installation, our team commissions the system to verify that the complete fire protection solution performs in accordance with the approved design and sequence of operations. Commissioning includes programming, system integration, functional verification, suppression system verification, and confirmation of required interfaces and control functions before the system is placed into service.

Commissioning & Maintenance

Our involvement does not end when installation is complete. We provide comprehensive system commissioning to verify that each fire protection system operates as designed, complies with applicable codes and standards, and integrates properly with the building’s life-safety systems.
During commissioning, our team verifies programming, sequences of operation, detection and releasing functions, emergency control function interfaces, suppression system operation, supervisory and monitoring functions, and communication between interconnected systems. We work with the project team, Authority Having Jurisdiction, and other trades as required to confirm that the complete system performs as intended before being placed into service.
Following turnover, our maintenance services provide continued support throughout the life of the system. This includes scheduled inspection, testing and maintenance, preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, repairs, emergency service, replacement components, software and programming support, and system modifications as facility requirements change.
By combining commissioning with ongoing maintenance support, we help maintain system reliability, code compliance, and operational readiness while providing customers with a single fire protection partner from initial design through the full life cycle of the facility.

Frequently Asked Questions
It’s common for a project to require our assistance determining the most reliable and cost-effective solution that meets not just fire codes and AHJ requirements but also ensures the protection of mission critical assets and avoids downtime. That’s when we may recommend a hazard assessment and thorough application review. Furthermore, because we have the expertise and a toolkit of the latest fire detection and suppression systems, we are confident that we can meet the needs of nearly any challenge.
Documentation is a core component of the commissioning and closeout process, as it includes assembling a complete package of reports, submittals and confirmations that show the system was installed and tested in accordance with necessary standards and codes.
NFPA-required inspections and testing varies depending on the device, but some level of inspection is often required monthly or quarterly, while full testing is usually performed annually. We are here to help determine the frequency of these inspections and can perform them to ensure you are compliant and protected.
From low batteries, to a broken detector, to a discharge of a system, our staff is ready to respond and will bring the system back to full operation as quickly as possible. One of the most important needs of our customers is to have the required agent in stock. We have these agents on hand and pride ourselves on having the system back in service within 24 hours after a discharge, if not much sooner.
We have decades of experience completing end-to-end fire protection systems in data centers, office buildings, restaurants, hospitals, warehouses, manufacturing plants (food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical), airports and hangers, power generation facilities, museums and historical sites, and many more.
